BBP Entertainment, based out of New Orleans, is a multi-layered entertainment company providing corporate entertainment, theatrical production and management, and educational touring entertainment. The staff of BBP Entertainment is comprised of artists, musicians, and audio visual technicians capable of creating anything from a custom corporate entertainment production to providing a troupe of actors and musicians who educate through entertaining in the classroom. From stock musical revues and dance productions to musicians for a private party, BBP Entertainment seeks to provide quality entertainment services while employing the talents from the local area. Divisions include:
• Corporate Entertainment – From custom musical productions to themed talent and greeters, BBP Entertainment will turn any corporate meeting into a corporate celebration. Elements include custom stage shows, themed talent and greeters, booking of big-name bands, first-rate comedians, and motivational speakers. Full production services include costuming, staging, rigging, lighting, audio/visual, backdrops, and drapery.
• Entertainment Booking Agency – Full service agency to provide the right form of entertainment for the right function. Events can range from corporate conventions to Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, casinos, radio or TV, and private parties. Elements include musicians, comedians, impressionists, storytellers, jugglers, themed models, caricature artists, psychic readers, face painters, stilt walkers, mimes, and magicians.
• Theatrical Production – In house theatrical management as well as touring productions that can turn any small community theatre into a critically successful, thriving showplace! Elements include management, artistic and technical personnel and/or consultation, musicians, performers and costumers.
• Educational Entertainment – BBP Entertainment will provide the very best in quality educational-related programs for elementary school children. Elements include touring educational theatre, storytellers and community theatre presentations involving young adults.
Brandt Blocker Presents is a not-for-profit community theatre organization dedicated to enriching, educating, and entertaining the New Orleans Metropolitan area by providing a superior theatre experience. Additionally, Brandt Blocker Presents charges itself with the responsibility of presenting quality family entertainment while creating opportunities for teens and adults to develop talents in all aspects of theatre arts. The organization’s namesake, Brandt Blocker, has been involved in theatre production and education for over twenty years. Most recently, he re-vitalized the children’s theatre program at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre by increasing both community involvement and audience attendance by over 115%. A sought after director and musical director, Brandt Blocker is recognized by his colleagues, and the local media, as a leader in producing top-quality, financially successful theatrical productions, all the while promoting the education of hundreds of young adults in theatre production. The staff of Brandt Blocker Presents is comprised of local theatre professionals as well as numerous volunteers and private supporters. Blocker and his creative team have recently collaborated on such successful shows as "Little Shop of Horrors" (winner of 5 Big Easy Entertainment Awards), "Seussical the Musical," "Some Enchanted Evening: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein," "A Year With Frog And Toad," and "The All Night Strut". Additionally, Brandt Blocker Presents was named 2004 Theatre Company of the Year at the annual Storer Boone Theatre Awards. Brandt Blocker Presents has made an undeniable impact on the theatre and theatre-going community, nurtured and cultivated many young and new talents, and has increased community theatre awareness and volunteerism substantially.
